serendipity...how it all began..

'Serendipity' -I remember it as a definition I learnt in 11th,viz, 'a good discovery made by chance' ... a movie by the same name made me realize even love could have a touch of serendipity....and of course , the wiki definition .... Having lost count of the number of times  serendipity has rubbed him the right way,the author's decided to dedicate this post to this very phenomenon which touches each of our lives but still goes unnoticed rarely getting its due,ie,an acknowledgement.... But for serendipity, this blog, which incidentally has been one of the best things  to have happened to me ever, would never have existed.... So,on the first anniversary   (I'm late by a good 10 days, sigh )of THE BLOG OF (SM)ALL THINGS ,sit back and enjoy (hopefully) the story of its creation (if you can call it one) ... Caution -it ain't no Zuckerburg-facebook story if you are expecting one....:D After that rather lame attempt at humour, here we go...... April,2010 ha...

hypocrisy...

Picture this :- small town India,a respectable family with good values and the hero of our story,a guy who's a 'good boy',or better put,a boy who's been conditioned to become good, someone who's socially accepted and respected as a 'decent' guy..... (at least thats how its done in the so called small-towns)  In this post, the author would like to concentrate on the first and the last attributes mentioned above.... Zoom into 2011 ,our hero has reached marriageabl...

For those of u who know me,you'd know I'm a passionate quizzer....and for those of you who don't ,well!now you do....;) Enjoyed quizzing only as a hobby back in school ...did win those really huge prizes in the school circuit once or twice but more or less,it was the joy of quizzing which made me stick to it.....that quizzing can be rewarding struck me only after I came to Pune...well,prizes ranging from anywhere between 10k to 25k can certainly turn on a few tubelights(and I certainly am one).... Jokes apart,as a medical student who quizzes,it's easy to push it to the backburner if u've really been digging into your textbooks....but me being the quintessential ' come-what-may-i'll-study-only-b4-an-exam'   guy...lack of time was never a problem...but the transition from school to college level quizzing is easier said than done.....the first year saw TEAM STETHOSCOPES ( weird??....we got it after a law school student suggested it to us in jest) atte...
